Filmed on 11/13/07 - The Running Event - Austin, TX - Jason from The North Face discusses the Chinscraper. All of The North Face shoes are named after famous race points. The Chinscraper is their attempt at combining both water resistance and breathability. The upper is a welded on piece of synthetic (it's a soft shell upper) that keeps the shoe light even when wet. The welding is also visible on the inside of the shoe. The snake plate is also a new feature to the shoe. It's a rock shield that weaves back and forth from the back to the front of the shoe that keeps the shoe flexible. The shoe is priced at $120 and will be released for the Fall '08 season.
