Athletics Australia has announced a team of 30 of the nations most exciting, up and coming athletes to represent Australia at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India from October 12 to 18, 2008. In what will be the first time the Commonwealth Youth Games will be held in Asia, the event provides the best young athletes within the Commonwealth the opportunity to come together for international competition and experience. It also serves a test event for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli.
